Day 1 - Welcome to Sahara!

  • Reception at the airport of Béchar
  • Transfer by bus to TAGHIT 90 km away
  • Visit of the local guest house.
  • Welcome Lunch
  • Evening short hike to the high dune of Taghit to admire a splendid sunset with its 1001 colours,
  • Back to the guest house.
  • Dinner

Day 2 - Prehistory

  • Breakfast
  • Departure for a 3h hike in the middle of the palm grove to discover the local agriculture and then go through the ruins of the Ksar of Berbi.
  • Departure by bus to the picnic site
  • Time to enjoy a good lunch prepared with care and finish with a good tea.
  • Continuation of the circuit by the visit of the Neolithic rock engravings where we will settle after having climbed the top of the plateau to see a beautiful sunset.

Day 3 - The Nomad

  • Breakfast
  • Hiking from 2 to 3 hours to discover the palm groves, date palms, local agriculture and the ruins of the Ksar of Berbi
  • Departure to the place of the picnic: the lake of Zaouïa Tahtania
  • Visit the rock engravings dating from the Neolithic Age (about 2 million years ago) that tell the prehistory of Humanity
  • Sunset from one of Taghit's best spots
  • Back to the guesthouse
  • Dinner and musical evening around a campfire

Day 4 - Taghit's Hights

  • Breakfast
  • Guided tour of the Taghit ksar (the ancient earthen city) and the local market and handicraft shops;
  • Lunch
  • Evening walk on the heights of Taghit from Djebel El Baroun, a former French military fort!
  • Back to the guesthouse.

Day 5 - Relaxation at the paste of the Sahara

  • Breakfast
  • Free time (buying souvenirs...).
  • Kamel and quad rides
  • Lunch
  • Late afternoon Departure for the discovery of Taghit in panoramic view from the Djebel El Baroune, a former French military fort. Beauty and serenity guaranteed!

Day 6 - Discovery of the Saoura Region

  • Breakfast
  • Departure to Beni Abbes located at 150 km from Taghit
  • Visit of the chapel of Charles de Foucault
  • Then we'll take a hike to the Ksar;
  • Lunch in one of the oldest houses in Ksar Zaouïa
  • Departure on the road to Marhouma in 4*4 to discover an exceptional landscape for the sunset;
  • Back to the guesthouse.
  • Dinner and evening around a campfire

In Algiers you will be accommodated in a 3 and 4 star hotel.

In the south you will be accommodated in rooms built in clay in a typical, simple decor and with all the necessary desert comforts (electricity, WC and shared showers with hot water) and 4-star hotel with swimming pool.


Our cuisine is provided only by local families.

Our menu consists of salads, soups (Hrira with wheat) and main course (white couscous, wheat couscous, Mardoud, stews, tagine and other typical dishes of the region).

We try, as much as possible, to use vegetables bought directly from local producers. However, depending on the seasons and availability, our menus vary.
